Preparation:
BROWS
Your brows will be lightly groomed during your appointment. Prior grooming is not needed. if you wish too Please tweeze, tint, wax, or thread your brows at least a week before your appointment. Failing to do so may make the area more sensitive, affect color retention, or absorb color into the pores outside the treated area.
You may arrive with makeup on. During the procedure some of your makeup will be removed in order to prevent infections, and we will redraw them on to your liking.
if you get or plan on getting botox then please do so at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment. If you have never had botox but are thinking of getting it then it is recommended to wait until 4 weeks after your Brow appointment. Ideally you want to set the shape of your brows first with us then get botox as it can change the shape and we want to do your brows in your more natural state.
no facials, Microdermabrasion, micro needling or laser treatments on the face for 30 days prior to your appointment. Discontinue use of anti-aging skincare products like retinol, Vitamin C, Ahas and Bhas for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
No Sun or Tanning beds for at least month prior. if you use tanning beds then be aware the tattoo will fade faster and can fade to orange or grey. if you use tanning beds very regularly and have so for months or years then i ask you do not get tattooed as it doesn’t heal looking as intended.
please be free of blood thinners for at least 24 hours before your appointment. This includes aspirin, medications, alcohol, fish oil, and vitamin E. if you are prescribed by a doctor to take any of the items regularly then please let us know and do not discontinue.
LiPS
Please Keep your Lips Moist a week prior to your LIP Procedure. If you have Badly chapped lips I will Kindly ask you wait till they are smooth to ensure they heal properly. If you arrive to your appointment with chapped lips, and we reschedule you, your deposit will be forfeited and another will be required to rebook. Chapped lips prevent an even heal of color.
If you get cold sores or have had a history of them I ask that you take Anti-Viral Medications 3 days before, day of and 3 days after your appointment to reduce the risk of an outbreak. please consult your doctor for which medication and prescription. we are not doctors and can not inform you of dose or which medicine. If you do not take anti virals and you get an outbreak we will not be responsible and will require antivirals for any further treatments. additional treatments may be required.
If you have had lip filler please wait at least 30 days to have lip Blushing done. If considering lip fillers it doesn’t if you do it before or after lip blushing however if done after then it can result in the pigment being more sheer on the lips.
DO not use any Lip Plumping lipsticks or Gloss 30 days before your procedure. These bring blood flow to your lips and will make you bleed more making it harder to retain pigment.
Removal
Must be minimum 8 weeks since having your brows/lips done.
Please avoid waxing, tinting, plucking or threading your brows at least one week prior to your appointment.
You do not have to worry about caffeine, alcohol, blood thinners, botox or medications.
please discontinue all skin care products containing AHAs, BHAs, acids, retinol and vitamin C 2 weeks Prior.
No Laser or chemical peel treatments 1 month prior.
Please no tanning beds all together and avoid prolonged sun exposure 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
if you have had other tattoo removal either saline or laser you must wait minimum 8 weeks before we can do another session.
It is important to have your immune system in tact and the skin in the best condition it can be.
emergency removal is preformed within 48 hours but within 24/36 hours max is best. if you have tried to remove the brows yourself, rubbed them or disturbed the area in any way after the treatment we will not preform the emergency session and ask you to heal them first. please note i will have to fit you in before or after my day or come in on my day off so i can’t always guarantee I can accommodate you. Please contact me immediately when thinking about emergency removal. I do not like to preform the service close to the 48 hour mark because your skin can be closed and it won’t be very effective.
